YOU CAN SPONSOR ONE OF THE CHILDREN OF LAKE ATITLAN

You can sponsor a child from the school for $20 a month. The money received helps pay  educational expenses, health needs, special programs (such as camp), and emergency needs of the family. It will also bring encouragement to the child and their family, who struggle with the basic necessities of life.

Due to the fact that we are a volunteer organization, only 10% of your donation will go to administrative costs. That means that 90% of your donation goes directly to support a child in the school. And if you send additional donations to buy a gift or just to encourage the family during the year, 100% of that gift will go to the support of the child and family for its designated purpose.

HOW TO BECOME A SPONSOR...

1. Contact us at the following address.  Include your e-mail or street address, and we will send you a sponsorship form, on which you will give your personal information, as well as your preferences for the age and gender of the child you wish to sponsor. Or CLICK HERE to download a registration form, which you can complete and mail to the following address.  You may also register through this site by filling out a donor form. Go to the Donations section of our website to do so.  If you prefer to write, you can do so at                                              Children of Lake Atitlan

2. When the form is complete, send it to the address indicated above.

3. Include the following with your registration form:

   1. A check or money order made out to CHILDREN OF LAKE ATITLAN, INC.   All donations are tax deduct able. You will have the option to pay monthly, quarterly, or annually.

   2. A personal greeting and/or photo to the child you will sponsor. In your greeting, do not include your home address, e-mail or phone umber. All letters are translated before they are sent. This is completely optional, but helps the child sponsored to get to know you, as you will get to know them. They want to know you as a person.

WHEN YOUR SPONSOR FORM IS RECEIVED, WE WILL SEND YOU...

1. Personal information about the child you are sponsoring, along with a photo.

2. Personal letters from the child you are sponsoring throughout the year.

3. Updates about the school and the community of San Juan La Laguna.

4. Information about communicating with the child you sponsor.
